    USCCU Remains Safe, Sound & Secure

    With over $600 million in assets and $52 million in equity reserves, USCCU is financially strong, well-capitalized and well-positioned to navigate through this crisis.

    Capitalized and Healthy

    Your accounts will remain safe, secure and accessible for the duration of the safe-at-home restrictions, and your deposits will continue to be insured through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, a federal insurance fund backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government, to at least $250,000 for regular deposits and an additional $250,000 for IRAs.     We realize that many of you are facing unexpected financial challenges as a result of COVID-19, whether through illness, unpaid leave, business closure or job loss. Please know that we are here to support you with a variety of financial relief programs.

    The following USCCU Financial Relief Programs will go into effect April 1st, 2020 for up to 90 days:

    Consumer Loan Payment Deferrals

    Members in good standing that are impacted by COVID-19 can defer payments on their USCCU auto, personal, student and credit card loans for 90 days without any fees, penalties or late payment reports to the credit bureaus. Please contact us for details if you would like to participate in this program.

    Mortgage Loans and HELOC Deferment Relief

    Mortgage Loans, Home Equity Loans, or Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOC) Deferment Relief: For members impacted by COVID-19 that need payment assistance on a USCCU mortgage loan, Home Equity Loan, or Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC), the credit union will defer your payment up to 90 days, with no fees¹ or negative credit bureau reports.

    USCCU, like hundreds of credit unions and community banks throughout the nation, contracts with Midwest Loan Services, Inc. (MLS) to service its first mortgage loans. Please contact MLS directly at or 800-262-6574 to discuss first mortgage deferral options. Note that due to the high volume of inquiries, it may take up to 72 hours for an MLS agent to respond to you.

    To initiate a mortgage loan payment deferral for Second Trust Deed, Home Equity Loans, Home Equity Lines of Credit, please email your request and a USCCU Loan Representative will contact you about your options.

    Fee Waivers

    All late fees on mortgage, consumer, student and credit card loans will be waived proactively beginning April 1st, 2020. We will also waive all Certificate of Deposit early-withdrawal fees, overdraft transfer fees, fees for using non-USCCU or non-CO-OP ATMs*, and monthly checking fees.

    COVID-19 Relief Loan

    Members who need additional funds to cover expenses during this time can apply for our emergency loan for up to $1,500 with a 24-month term payment, 2.99% APR and no payments for 90-daysᐩ.
